Today, instructors can be assigned to many locations for subbing, and they can control which locations they receive sub notifications for. Riser would like similar logic for messaging so instructors are not getting unnecessary location-specific communication for studios they do not actively teach at. Current challenge: They use posts/announcements/events for instructor communication, but audience management is manual. If an instructor has broad location access, they may still receive or see messages for locations that are not relevant to them. Managing this through Teams is possible, but requires ongoing manual upkeep as instructors move between locations. Desired outcome: Explore a feature where messaging preferences can mirror sub notification/location logic. For example: instructors could toggle messaging by location similar to sub notifications location-based posts would notify only instructors who have that location “on” optionally, those messages could still remain viewable in-app without triggering notifications consider whether unread badges should also follow this logic Why this matters: Riser has a large and growing instructor base, so manual audience management does not scale. They want cleaner, more relevant communication without requiring admins to constantly update Teams or message audiences.
